In 2017, Ukraine became the epicenter of NotPetya, the most destructive cyber invasion in history. NotPetya wiped out 10% of personal computers in the country and caused multimillion-dollar losses for businesses around the world. A couple of years earlier, Ukrainian power grids fell victim to the BlackEnergy cyberattacks that caused partial blackouts at power stations and left dozens of thousands of people without electricity.
ISSP Labs & Research experts were among the first to investigate these incidents. They worked with the victims of these attacks, studied and analyzed the tools, tactics, and techniques that adversaries used. The results of their research offer valuable insights that can help organizations worldwide improve their cybersecurity stances.
